Fund Oversight Update

After a swath of fines on the banking and investment industry, the FCA last summer appointed a new head of enforcement, Mark Steward.  Also appointing a new director of risk and compliance oversight, the FCA see these new hires as high calibre appointments and vital within the UK regulatory system.  Clearly the FCA’s focus on oversight via enforcement is strengthening and the spotlight continues to fall on management companies in terms of exercising proper risk governance and operational oversight.
