Fund Accounting Oversight Update

The fund accounting sector has responded positively to the regulator’s requirement for proper oversight by teams staffed with appropriate expertise.  Our experience is that both fund managers and TPAs are taking particular care to hire only those candidates with relevant technical backgrounds and/or professional qualifications.  This is an example of a sector where quality improvement has been driven by necessity, providing greater security to a function historically prone to pitfall.
