Our client is a global financial services operation with offices worldwide.  Their Chelmsford office has an opportunity for an IT Desktop Support Technician to join on a contract basis.  With a solid background in networking, including TCP/IP &Windows 10, you will quickly be effective in assisting internal clients with their desktop IT issues.

Main responsibilities:
  • Helpdesk support by telephone, providing user support desk-side
  • Providing basic network support and first line MS Exchange & 365 support
  • User onboarding and desktop installation
  • Handling change such as computer moves, cabling and hardware replacement
  • Managing external vendor relationships as well as internal client needs
The successful candidate for Desktop Support Technician will have at least 2-3 years knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP & Windows 10, and may already hold the MSCE/A qualification.  You will have strong troubleshooting skills and a committed approach to fixing problems.  Strong communication skills are essential.

This 6 month contract vacancy comes with a requirement for rotational shift work within the hours of 07:00 and 18:00.
