Is AI Better Than Me?
Is AI Better Than Me?
Can AI source and screen candidates better than I can? AI is now being used extensively for direct recruitment in particular on the basis of cost/efficiency, but how do we feel about the quality of the process for hiring managers and candidates?
· AI can screen high volumes of applications, but how good is it at screening for niche experience beyond key word searches?
· AI processes applications at high speed, but can it field sometimes technical questions from potential candidates at the pre-application stage?
· AI will screen for matches on the basis of the provided brief, but does it understand the hiring manager’s more nuanced requirements?
· AI can recognise relevant experience from a CV, but can it verbally drill into and challenge knowledge?
· AI can develop a preferred candidate profile and build that into its search criteria, but is there sufficient safeguarding to ensure zero discrimination?
· AI can process efficiently, but can it call upon established candidate relationships in times of low application activity?
Obviously, AI is here to stay, but can it continue to be used in recruitment in its current form?
